How to evaluate a pharmaceutical ingredient supplier
A documentation-led framework for identity, quality, regulatory, and commercial review.
Red Chem Biotech Private Limited · Updated 2026-09-13
Supplier qualification is a documented risk-based process. It begins with legal identity and scope, then examines product-specific evidence, quality systems, change control, complaint handling, traceability, and regulatory relevance.
The level of review should reflect the material, intended application, destination market, supply-chain complexity, and evidence available. Corporate registration alone does not prove manufacturing capability or product compliance.
A robust sourcing decision records what was verified, what remains uncertain, who approved the decision, and when the evidence must be reviewed again.
